Jeannetta D. Burpee


Jeannetta D. Burpee, M. Ed, OTR/L, is internationally respected as a lecturer and clinician for those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental and learning disorders.  She has over 35 years of clinical experience working with people of all ages and the full range of developmental disorders.  Ms. Burpee was previously the owner of the Jeannetta D. Burpee Institute, Inc. and since her move to the rural mountains of Pennsylvania, is presently in private practice, a consultant, instructor and treating therapist while also employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Elmirra, New York.  She is Faculty Emeritus for Sensory Integration International, Torrence, California and certified to administer and interpret the Sensory Integration and Praxis tests.  She is a mentor to the staff of Talk School.


Soma Mukhopadhyay

Soma Mukhopadhyay is the Education Director of HALO (Helping Autism through Learning and Outreach).  Over the past 17 years, Ms. Mukhopadhay developed the Rapid Prompting Method to teach her own autistic son to communicate.  Although nonverbal and severely autistic, he is a published writer and poet.  Ms. Mukhopadhyay has used Rapid Prompting to teach over 500 autistic children to learn and communicate at schools across the country and in her own clinic in Austin.  www.halo-soma.org
