Talk School is a full day private speech and language school that provides intensive speech-language and occupational therapy with a sensory integration focus woven into a full day therapeutic and academic program. We are housed in a state-of-the-art building that was designed specifically for our students.
Requirements
A valid PA Teaching Certification in Special Education or Regular Education.
Experience working with autistic students, preferred.
Willingness to develop expertise in the science of reading or if you have a background in Orton-Gillingham or a specific reading program like Wilson, Fundations, or Barton, highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills and desire to collaborate on a team of professionals.
Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
Strong critical-thinking skills.
Resourcefulness.
Pennsylvania Criminal Records check (Act 34) within one year.
Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance History (Act 151) within one year.
FBI Criminal History Record (Act 114) within one year.
Proof of a TB test or chest x-ray within three months.
Physical within one year.
Job Type: full-time-Salary commensurate with experience.
Education: Degree in special or regular education with an interest in special education.
